Chalon at Village Garage

Chalon at Village Garage 2Beautifully preserved vintage cars were parked along the sidewalk and in the parking lot of Village Garage in the neighborhood of Glenwood in East Atlanta. Village Garage has been in business since the 1940s but it has only been within the last 5 years that they have developed a reputation for working on vintage automobiles. Any car manufactured prior to 1996 is considered  vintage. Since that time, cars have been built with computers. Most garages will not service a vintage car because diagnostic equipment cannot be used. What was really fascinating to me was the office in which a collection of vintage items including cameras, musical instruments, signs and other paraphernalia were displayed. Chalon, as pictured above, has worked at Village Garage for two years.

Chalon is the only one that is NOT an antique there.
