Decatur Wins First Round

Last Friday, the Decatur High School varsity baseball team headed to Sandersville, Georgia to compete in the first round of the state playoffs. Decatur won their first game against Washington County High. The second game was tense. In the bottom of the 7th, the score was tied and Decatur was up at bat. Jalen Sprull (lower image on left) hit a walk-off double to win the game. This win was a triumph for Decatur for it has been over 45 years since the team has won the first round at the state playoffs!

These are great portraits of the baseball players! I swear that they don’t look like high school students. They appear to be fully grown adults. I am surprised that they provided you free access to the dugout at a tournament. I hope Peter got into at least one of the games…..though I realize that this is probably the varsity team on which Peter does limited service. In any case, Congratulations to all.

Not much new to report from this end. I did see my radiologist on Thursday and had good news on the PSA front. It came in at .09. On the house front, no news at all. Traffic through the house has evaporated. The couple that offered a low bid decided they could not afford to increase their bid, so they have dropped out of the category of potential buyers.

    Loads of love, Dad

I love these shots. They’re truly compelling.

    • Thanks Riko. These players were very focused and intense at these playoff games. It was an honor to have the opportunity to capture these moments.
